Owner noted (after I let them know why there was no irrigation last week).
Thank you for your response. I waited to respond, because I wanted to wait and see if the sprinklers would start as you had said. I know we have had some rain. But as of today, I haven’t heard or seen the sprinklers run once behind our house in the greenspace. I am home during the summer and work quite a bit in the yard and I’m very aware of when they run.
As you know, it doesn’t take long for the grass to become distressed, when we get many hot days in a row.
The lawn maintenance may not be aware that the sprinklers are not running, or at least in our zone.
I really hope it’s not a repeat of last summer. There were so many areas that the grass died off and weeds grew in place. Also, I noticed in the roundabout a new tree has died as well. I know I sound like I’m really being nitpicky, but as a person that takes pride in their home and neighborhood, I wanted to make sure you’re aware of the current situation. I realize you’re in an office and may not know.

Checked greenbelt behind address. Entire area along Wilson and 43rd was drier than other areas on property. Opened 3 separate control valves manually to cover section in question…watered for approximately 90 minutes. Checked controller. Fault on Zone 16, which is not near section…but program was shutting down when getting to that zone. Section in question is multiple zones down, so was not getting water due to shut down. Removed run time from faulting zone and tested. Zones downstream from Zone 16 now operate as normal. Will follow up on faulty valve. Also noticed seasonal water % was at 75%…so increased to 100% for all zones. |
