Located multiple dry areas and checked zones. Zone along Greenhorn and around 4236 had broken wire on decoder. Watered zone manually to help recover. Area in large courtyard now dry due to shutting down zones from overwatering. Some sections in center are still soggy, so manually watered around areas wherever possible. Will add time to zones as center continues to dry out. Zone west of 4107 dry due to intermittently insufficient pressure to raise sprinklers….will try replacing with smaller nozzles to improve consistency. Flagged all areas described…will purchase decoder and replace it and nozzles soon. |

Went to DBC to get decoder for control valve in courtyard. Programmed decoder and wired in to two wire system. Spliced into wiring for existing solenoid and discovered extensive corrosion….so wired in new decoder to new solenoid. Tested valve…now working properly. Replaced multiple plugged or damaged spray nozzles on same zone. Checked and adjusted all new replacements. Checked multiple dry zones on eastern half of properties. Sprinklers working properly, so checked from controller. Same zones activated from controller, so checked run times. Runtimes were inadequate for this time of season….so increased accordingly. Downsized nozzles in rotors south of 4106…to increase pressure and allow sprinklers to pop up properly. Dug up and replaced rotor in same area…checked and adjusted. Downsizing a success…rotors now pop up immediately. Increased runtimes to compensate for smaller nozzles. Residents at 4106 asked about plants dying around property. Checked drip zone….operating properly. Flagged plants for future replacement. – Mark |
