There are two pink flags in the bed and the leak is about two feet out from that in the grass. It is like a bubbling fountain causing tons of water to run down the common driveway. |

Located flags and dug up area. Exposed multiple lines, but could not discern source of leak. Unable to locate control valve…went to controller and went through multiple zones on various programs. Found correct zone and ran. Large volume of muddy water clouded view of break. Felt with hand and discovered split. Pumped out and cut out split section of 3/4″ poly line. Obtained parts for repair. Repaired and pressure tested. Leaks around increasingly brittle poly line required use of additional clamps. Also added clamps to 3/4″ tee on adjacent line…leaking slightly. Retested. Line secure…no leaks. Went to get bucket of pea gravel for first fill of extra void caused by washout of dirt. Went to get bucket of dirt for second fill, then filled to sod level with existing dirt. Put flags around repair area to prevent mowers from sinking into very soggy sod. Talked to homeowners regarding flags. |
