Checked areas in question…particularly around park. There was some evidence of a control valve slightly stuck open…affecting the grass along the edge of sidewalk on Moonglow. Opened and closed flow control a couple of times…valve is now shutting down completely. Other areas in park appear to be relating more to rainfall and low or sloping terrain. Poor soil could also be playing a role. Controllers have been off since Wednesday. No other stuck valves and no abnormally high run times or frequency issues on programs. Will monitor and walk area again Monday. While checking area around park, performed troubleshooting on drip valve on greenbelt strip on other end of block. Bad connections on solenoid wiring. Replaced connectors and confirmed operation. – Mark

..with emphasis on park and soggier areas of greenbelts. The valve at the park no longer seeping. Most areas not showing excessive pooling now. This, despite a big rain on Friday evening…and the resumption of controllers last night (end of 4 day rain delay from Wednesday). Amazing how a couple of days in the 80’s will dry things up a bit. Still, crews may want to exercise caution on remaining tree installs…rutting still very possible in especially low areas. It might actually behoove them to bring some plywood to drive fork or Toolcat on in some areas. The ruts will otherwise cause whomever is mowing some teeth jarring distress! Consider ticket closed, but will continue monitoring.
