Hi Patressa,
I just sent out this email to your property manager to send out to the HOA’s around the pond.
Dear La Riva HOA’s
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to provide an update regarding our irrigation system, particularly as it pertains to the water supply from Highland Meadows Golf Course and the Louden Ditch.
As you are aware, our irrigation is heavily reliant on the Highland Meadows Golf Course, which receives water from Louden Ditch. This water supply is scheduled to end earlier than usual this year, on September 15th, at which point we will turn off the irrigation system for the season.
Additionally, there is the Tract H pond and the pump system that was installed during the development’s expansion to supplement the golf course’s pumps. Given the anticipated short supply of ditch water, the golf course requested that we turn off the Tract H pump to store water for golf course use for the remainder of this season and early next year.
While I understand the importance of reserving water for future use, the absence of the Tract H pump has caused a significant drop in pressure across the irrigation system for the HOA. When the system was running solely on the golf course pumps, we experienced such low pressure that we could only operate one irrigation zone at a time. Combined with the current daytime-only watering restrictions, and the additional developments west of CR5 also using this system, we did not have sufficient time to water all of the turf effectively.
After discussing this issue with the golf course management, they have agreed to allow me to temporarily reactivate the Tract H pump until the 15th to help alleviate the pressure issue and ensure that the remaining irrigation needs are met.
Please let me know if there are any additional concerns, or if you would like to discuss a plan moving forward for next season. I will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.
