Due to the substantial rainfall we’ve received across Northern Colorado this week and additional precipitation in the forecast, Precision Landscape & Maintenance will be delaying all irrigation operations for an additional 5 days. Over the past 72 hours, we have measured between 0.8 and 1.6 inches of rain, depending on the location. Looking ahead, we are anticipating another 0.5 to 0.9 inches of rainfall over the next 36 hours.
Why We’re Delaying Irrigation
Kentucky Bluegrass, the dominant turf type in our region, requires only 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week, including rainfall. With the amount of precipitation received and forecasted, the turf’s water needs are already being met naturally. Delaying irrigation not only prevents overwatering and runoff but also promotes deeper root growth, strengthens turf resilience, and conserves water—a benefit both for your lawn and your HOA’s budget. We will resume normal irrigation scheduling once the turf begins to show signs that additional water is necessary.
Mowing Service Update
Due to saturated ground conditions and ongoing rain this afternoon, mowing services for the remainder of today are delayed and will resume tomorrow. Additionally, because this week has brought multiple rain delays in the afternoon, we will be servicing our Friday clients on Saturday to ensure everyone stays on schedule.
As always, we appreciate your understanding as we work around the weather to provide the highest quality landscape care.
If you have any questions or specific concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Joe Potkanowicz
